I decided that the place I am currently living is not for me, so I surprisingly moved last Saturday. This comes only four months after I moved to my last place. I do not know why it is so hard for me to find good accommodation in London.
On the bright side, lockdown is slowly easing and I was finally able to venture beyond my local area. I have been so used to staying at home that going out now feels weird. Still, I hope COVID-19 does not make a comeback ever again.

Monthly savings report: June 2020
As described in my savings report for last month, my goal for June was to visit a place that is not within walking distance of where I live. Given that I actually moved to a new place, I think this goal is accomplished.
My total after-tax income this month was £2,591 of which £438 was pension contribution. Matched betting and blogging picked-up again which is great. Still, I have lots of unused potential to earn more.
As usual, rent was my biggest expense this month. Now, I am paying much more rent but my room is also much nicer. I also had some cost associated with moving which I stuffed into other.
- Rent: My rent (bills included) plus internet/phone bill
- Groceries: Practically everything I buy in a supermarket
- Transport: Everything I need to get from one place to another
- Personal: Clothes, hair cuts, make-up, etc.
- Fun: Eating out and social expenses
- Other: Everything that does not fit elsewhere
Financial independence fund
My index fund is steadily getting better and my SIPP has already grown by 14% since I started in March. However, I think we have a few more up and downs ahead of us. I feel like the economy is much slower at recovering from COVID-19 than the stock market makes it seem.
Goals for July 2020
My goal is to have 150 blog post, so in July I will focus on adding more content to Monethalia. I managed to write 20 posts in June so maintaining a similar level would be great. Although as lockdown eases, I may find myself going out more again.
