Is 20Cogs legit or scam? Review
The concept of 20Cogs
The idea behind 20Cogs is that you sign-up to a website/service through 20Cogs, enabling them to obtain a commission. This is also known as affiliate marketing which is a common method to make money. In fact, there are several such links and Monethalia and they are the reason you can read this article for free.
With 20Cogs, you are required to sign-up to 20 websites/services through affiliate links. 20Cogs will then receive a commission and, most importantly, pay you a fraction of this commission. This is lucrative to the user because many of the websites/services you sign-up to offer free trials or are entirely free. Some may require you to pay but you will still end up making a profit because of the commission. You can also choose not to sign-up to websites/services that require payment.
20Cogs explain what they are doing in a simple video:
What offers are available on 20Cogs?
For each of the 20 offers (cogs), 20Cogs allows you to choose from a selection of offers. If none of the offers looks appealing to you or you have already signed-up with all available websites/services, you can simply wait a few days until new offers are added.
Offers generally fall into the following categories:
You can sign-up to gambling sites, take out a variety of free trials (some are really useful), sign-up to service sites or enter competitions. There are enough options that you do not have to sign-up to websites/services you do not like.
How much money can you make?
How much you get paid depends on which offers you sign-up to. 20Cogs state state that the average user makes around £200 with the maximum being £400. For me, I only made about £80 because I either had already completed the high-paying offers or they were not applicable to me. Still, £80 for about an hours’ work is a great return.
If you want to make the most of 20Cogs, you can browse through the offers and select the highest paying offer for each cog.
20Cogs has great reviews on Trustpilot that vouch for the credibility of 20Cogs. If you look around, you will also find countless other bloggers reviewing 20Cogs with a positive verdict. It is hard to find negative reviews which is in line with my own experience of 20Cogs.
20Cogs asks for a minimal amount of personal data. You will have to input your first and last name as well as your email address when signing-up. You only need to provide your bank details once you have completed all 20 cogs. Or you can choose to get paid via Paypal in which case all you need to do is provide your Paypal email address.

Completing offers with 20Cogs
Once signed-up, your dashboard will look like this:
On the left, you can see your earnings and your current progress. Each cog will turn yellow once the offer has been tracked and green once it has been confirmed. Note that this can take up to 30 days.
On the right side, you can see the details for your selected offer. Within each cog, you can choose from a number of offers. Once you have completed one of them, you can progress to the next cog.
If you are happy with your selected offer, simply click “earn £5.00”. Note that the amount you earn will be different for each offer. You will then see a green bar, where you have to click “earn £5.00” to be transferred to the website.
Once you have completed all 20Cogs, simply wait until they turn green and request a payout.
What to do when offers do not track?
If you are familiar with cashback websites, you will know that a proportion of offers do not track. 20Cogs is no different from that. In fact, five out of my 20 cogs did not track. In this case, all you have to do is create a ticket and send over a screenshot of your welcome email for the website/service in question. For me, all my cogs tracked within a day of sending a screenshot. I wish cashback websites would work like this too!
Is 20Cogs legit or scam? Summary
Overall, my experience with 20Cogs is very positive. 20Cogs is an easy way to make money with little effort and it does not require any special skills. They are much better than conventional cashback sites as offers that do not track are credited manually impressively quickly.
There are some downsides to it though. You have to complete all 20 cogs before you will receive your money. Normally, this is not a major issue as completing an offer takes little time and there are always new offers offers available. However, should you forget to complete cog number 20, the effort of completing the 19 previous cogs was in vain.
The other disadvantage is that there are only 20 cogs. Once you have completed all of them, the only way to make money with 20Cogs is by referring friends.
